WEDNESDAY AM ANNOUNCEMENTS – SEPTEMBER 11, 2019

Last night, the Marshfield Cross-Country Team achieved a “clean sweep” at the Marshfield Invite, taking home first place in all JV and Varsity team races.  Individual second-place finishers included Jerica Mueller in the Girls JV race, Myles Jensen in the Boys JV race, and Joshua McKee in the Boys Varsity race. Individual first-place finishers included Elijah Witzel in the Boys JV race, Eliana Kanitz in the Girls JV race, and Joseph McKee in the Boys Varsity race.

 

Attention Fellowship of Christian Athletes participants:  We will now be meeting in the Lecture Hall every Tuesday Morning from 7:00 - 7:30 am instead of room 55. Also, mark your calendars regarding the 'Meet at the Flagpole' event on Wednesday, September 25 at 7:15 am. Questions...see Mr. Lang

Hey seniors it’s almost homecoming season. Homecoming court sign-ups are outside room 24. Remember if you were on prom court you cannot run for homecoming court. Sign-ups will be from Tuesday the 10th to Friday the 13th. Good luck!

 

NHS candidates are reminded to turn in the RVSP to Induction Ceremony by Friday to Jebina Devadas, Tyler Katzenberger or the NHS mailbox in the main office.

 

There will be a college rep from Columbia College in New York in the counseling office TODAY at 10:15. Stop by if you are interested!

 

Hey guys, are you ready to show off your volleyball skills? Sign up for the PowderBuff volleyball tournament to kick off Homecoming Week Sunday, September 22, from 5-6:30. Interested Junior and Senior teams should pick up a registration form from Coach Sadowska in room 5. Registration form, $30 fee, and concussion forms are all due to Coach Sadowska by Wednesday, September 18. Coaches for PowderBuff teams may only be members of the Varsity volleyball team. All proceeds from the PowderBuff tournament will be donated to the Digging for the Cause event when Marshfield plays SPASH during HOCO week.

 

If you are interested in taking driver's education during second semester, please stop in the counseling office this week and sign up on the waiting list. Enrollment will be determined by birthday

 

Any student who is interested in joining FCCLA this year can come to the organizational meeting after school on Thursday, September 12th. We will meet in the foods lab and enjoy a sundae bar. If you cannot make it to the meeting and are interested in FCCLA, please see Mrs. MacArthur.

 

If you are interested in joining the Spanish Club - Our first meeting with be in room 46 (Ms. G's room) after school this Thursday 9/12. The meeting will be about 15 minutes and will cover upcoming events and activities. ANYONE is welcome to join - and bring a friend!

Anyone interested in trying out for girls’ soccer team this spring, there will be a meeting with Coach Lindner on Wednesday at 3:25 in Room 72. If you can't attend, see Mrs. Dietsche to sign up.

 

The Homecoming t-shirt order date has changed! We have extended the deadline to 3:30pm on Friday, September 13th. Make sure to show your school spirit and raise money for your class by purchasing one with your class advisor. Drop off your order form and money to the following:
Freshmen (Class of 2023): Ms. Spoerl - room 42
Sophomore (Class of 2022): Mrs. Dargenio - room 13
Juniors (Class of 2021): Mr. Glodowski - room 22
Seniors (Class of 2020): Mrs. LeMoine – room 36

The Drama Club will be performing 'Radium Girls' - a play about the true history of the dial-painters exposed to Radium in the early 1920s and their fight for justice - in November. All are welcome to audition for the play - those who've performed before, and those who are new to the stage. To audition for the fall play, please attend the audition workshop afterschool on Thursday, Sept. 12th in the auditorium. This is a MANDATORY meeting - if you have a conflict or cannot attend, you must speak with Mrs. Leurquin afterschool on Friday, Sept. 13th (the meeting will only run about 15 minutes). A Q & A session about auditions and the play will be held afterschool in the auditorium on Friday, Sept. 13th, and will run about 45 minutes to an hour.
