FRIDAY AM ANNOUNCEMENTS – SEPTEMBER 6, 2019

 

Welcome Back to School Tigers!!

Past MCLA Members (Marshfield Columbus Leadership Alliance) and any other students who would like to join this positive, service-focused group of students -- our first meeting of the year will be Tuesday 9/10/19 during 1st period in the lecture hall. All are welcome! See Mrs. Loll in the counseling office with questions.

 

It is time to start planning ahead for Powderpuff Football! T-shirt sign up is currently posted and the cost will be $15 a shirt with a deadline of Monday, September 9th at NOON! Juniors can sign up at room 22 with Mr. Glodowski. Seniors can sign up at room 36 with Mrs. Lemoine! See you all at the game on Monday, September 23rd!

 

Interested in criminal justice? Want to improve your public speaking skills? Then scope out Mock Trial, a competition group that focuses on honing speaking and argumentation skills through a mock court case. The first meeting is September 16th after school in room 12. See Ms. Mahoney with questions if you cannot attend.

 

The Drama Club will be performing 'Radium Girls' - a play about the true history of the dial-painters exposed to Radium in the early 1920s and their fight for justice - in November. All are welcome to audition for the play - those who've performed before, and those who are new to the stage. To audition for the fall play, please attend the audition workshop afterschool on Thursday, Sept. 12th in the auditorium. This is a MANDATORY meeting - if you have a conflict or cannot attend, you must speak with Mrs. Leurquin afterschool on Friday, Sept. 13th (the meeting will only run about 15 minutes). A Q & A session about auditions and the play will be held afterschool in the auditorium on Friday, Sept. 13th, and will run about 45 minutes to an hour.

 

MISEP Program is looking for 8-10 students who would like to volunteer after school and help with 5th & 6th grade students. You get a FREE MEAL for helping. Are you curious??? Come and find out more information!  Stop in the MISEP Center, room 69—near business classes.

 

Fellowship of Christian Athletes will be having their kickoff event on Tuesday, September 10 at 7:00 am in room 55.  Donuts and beverage will be provided.  All are welcome to attend.
