TUESDAY PM ANNOUNCEMENTS – SEPTEMBER 17, 2019

Science Olympiad will have a short informational meeting Wednesday 9/18 at 7:40 am in room 21

 

The GSA will be having their first meeting this Thursday, September 19th in room 10/11. Allies and LGBT members alike are welcome to join us. There will be a game to play and new officers to introduce for this new year. Be sure to join us and bring a friend!

 

Students if you missed the chance to order a Blackout Cancer shirt.  Mr. Luedtke has extras available in Room 53.  They are $10, first come first serve.

 

Seniors! Class of 2020! There will be a class meeting Wednesday morning at 7:30 in Mrs. Lemoine's Room, 36.

 

Students interested in joining FFA are reminded that dues are $15 and can be paid to Mr. Heeg or Mr. Zee in their classrooms.

 

The first Yearbook Club meeting of the year will be this Thursday at 7:00 am in room 28! Anyone is welcome!

 

Also, FFA members interested in attending the Section 7 Leadership Workshop in Spencer this Thursday after school should sign up and pick up a permission slip in the ag room.

 

Freshman class: We need you to attend the class meeting TODAY after school in room 64 to make plans for homecoming! See Ms. Spoerl or Mrs. Kumm for more details!

 

Any student who is still interested in joining FCCLA should see Mrs. MacArthur for a membership form. We will be assembling a float for the Homecoming Parade next week.

 

There will be a sophomore class meeting today in Room 13 after school. Any sophomore is welcome to attend.

 

SkillsUSA will have their first meeting tomorrow, Wednesday Sept. 18th in room 82 after school. Come to learn about the many different skill-based competitions you can get involved with. Meeting will be 3-4pm. Talk to Mr. Henderson if you cannot attend.

 

AP Students: Mrs. Guldan will be in the commons next week Thursday and Friday to answer any AP exam questions or to assist with any problems with your myap website.

 

AP Students- AP exam registration has kicked off! To avoid any late fees, you must complete the two step AP exam process by October 30. Once again, the Blanchard AP scholarship will be available for students with financial need to apply to. Scholarship applications can be picked up from your AP teacher, the counseling office or the AP website. The application, which includes the FAFSA4caster results is due in the counseling office by Friday, October 4.

 

A reminder from the Testing Center; All students must have their student ID with them in order to complete assessments in the Testing Center.

 

Interested in the health or medical field? Come to our next HOSA: Future Health Professionals meeting this Thursday in room 45 at 7:30am. If unable to attend, see Ms. Marshall.

 

Marshfield High School participates in a number of jeopardy-style academic science bowl competitions each year and we generally have several teams competing. Over the years, our successes in these competitions have taken us to Alaska, California, Florida, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Panama. If you are interested in participating or would just like to learn more about these competitions, please attend an informational meeting this Wednesday after school in room 6. If you are unable to attend let Mr. McFarlane know that you are interested

 

Guest forms for the Homecoming dance are due by Monday, September 23rd.

 

Attention Juniors we will be offering the Pre ACT on October 29th. This is great way to prepare for the ACT in the spring. Please see Ms. Bishop in the Main office to sign up or if you have questions. The cost of the test is $13.00.
