Attention freshmen!  It's time to finalize our homecoming float plans.  We'll meet in room 10/11 at 7:30am on Wednesday, October 4th.  See Ms.Mahoney if you have ideas but can't make it.

 

Junior and Senior Boys!  It has been decided that Powderbuff Volleyball will go on during Homecoming week.  Teams up to 8 junior or senior guys can sign up on Mrs. LeMoine's door, Room 36.  Charge per team is $40.  Games will be played Thursday night during Homecoming week, this is a single elimination tournament!

 

Senior powderpuff football girls...If you did not turn in your money this morning, you need to get your $15 payment to Mrs. LeMoine's room, Room 36, by the end of today for your shirt to be ordered.

 

Attention juniors and seniors:  Financial aid night will be held in the auditorium on Monday, October 9th at 6:00 pm

Students planning to bring a non-MHS guest to the Homecoming dance should be sure to have the Dance Guest Permission Form filled out and signed by both schools by October 11th. Forms can be picked up in the main office.

Students please remember picture retake day will be Tuesday, October 3rd.

 

FCCLA will be having their first meeting of the year on Wednesday, October 4th after school.  Come join us in the foods lab for some sweet treats and to learn more about FCCLA!  See Mrs. MacArthur if you are interested but cannot attend

 

All students must have their IDs when using the Testing Center.  Be sure to bring them with you.  Also, backpacks are not allowed in the Testing Center or left in the hallways outside the Testing Center.  Please leave them in your lockers!

 

This message is for current sophomores and juniors. Are you interested in studying abroad this summer? Would you like a scholarship that helps with the cost? Come to an informational meeting about a study abroad opportunity held Tuesday, October 3rd after school in room 10/11. If you cannot attend the meeting, see Mrs. Salzmann in the counseling office.

 

A rep from the University of Northwestern in St. Paul will be in the Counseling Office on Monday from noon to 1.

 

Students are reminded to check the due dates of their library books and renew if necessary.  IF you need help accessing your account in Destiny, see Mrs. Moore in the library.

The Lady Tigers golf team finished 5th as a team in Reginal action on Wednesday. Advancing to sectional play for the Tigers was Roma Shah. Roma will be playing on Monday, October 2nd in Wisconsin Rapids. Congratulations Lady Tigers!

Then try out for your classes Homecoming Pepfest push up team starting today during your phy. ed. class or lunch hour.  Lunch hour trials will take place up on the stage by the Tiger. The rules have now changed to allow any fall sport athlete to participate, EXCEPT for football players in grades 10-12.  

Students interested in joining FFA are reminded to get their $15 dues in to Mr. Heeg or Mr. Zee.

 

FFA members interested in participating in the World Dairy Expo Trip on Tuesday, October 3rd need to sign up in the ag room and get a permission slip from Mr. Heeg or Mr. Zee.  Permission slips are due Friday morning.  The cost of the trip is $8.

 

The September FFA meeting will be held in the high school ag room, next to the greenhouse, this Thursday, September 28th beginning at 7 pm.  This will be a Packer Party, with pizza, pop, and prizes.  We'll have a short meeting and then watch the first half of the Packer game.  Festivities end at halftime of the game.

 

Students interested in assisting with crew for the Fall Play are asked to attend a brief meeting in the auditorium after school on Thursday, Sept. 28th.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, September 27th, is Bully Awareness Day.  Bully Awareness Day was established to bring attention to the harmful effects of bullying in the school setting.   Let’s all wear BLUE tomorrow to show our unity as we stand together in kindness and put an end to bully behaviors at our school and in our community.

 

SkillsUSA will be having highway cleanup on Wednesday, Sept. 27th right after school from 3-5pm. After highway cleanup, we will have a pizza party also. Please be aware of the schedule change from your SkillsUSA calendar.

 

The first Knitting Club meeting will be after school TODAY. Its the 4th Tuesday so we will be heading to Bigby after meeting in room 28 Mrs. Budimlija's room!  Whether you're an expert or just want to learn, we'd love to see you there!

 

A reminder that tomorrow, September 27th, is National Bullying Day.  Wear blue tomorrow to show your support for the cause to stop bullying.

 

Science Olympians-event interest forms due today. School forest permission due Wednesday. This is your last announcement-if you want to know what's going on join remind.

 

The French Club will be meeting Wednesday, September 27th after school in room 47 until around 4 PM.

 

This year’s pepfest will feature a pushup contest between the classes.  Each team will consist of two girls, two boys, and one faculty member.  Try outs will take place during lunch hours starting on Wednesday.  Participants CANNOT be in a fall sport, and must participate in the tryouts.  Talk it up and find out who should be trying out for your class.

 

If you are volunteering in the community but are not enrolled in Youth Service Learning, see Miss Goettl before school through 4th hour in Room 70 for more information.

The first Knitting Club meeting will be after school TOMORROW. Its the 4th Tuesday so we will be heading to Bigby after meeting in room 28 Mrs. Budimlija's room!  Whether you're an expert or just want to learn, we'd love to see you there!

Tonight the Tigers take on the Wisconsin Rapids Red Raiders. Reminder to student attending tonight’s game. All students must show their Student ID at the entry gates. Please do not bring balls, back packs, silly string, or air horns of any kind, nor any other item that can be deemed distracting during the course of the game. Items will be confiscated and you may be asked to leave the game. We want all students to enjoy the game in fun and safe manner. Roll Tigers!

 

Science Olympiad will meet Sunday at 3-use the greenhouse door. If you are not on remind you are missing important messages.
