Mr. Henderson's classes are cancelled today. Periods 1-3 & 8-9 students in grades 9& 10 should report to the LMC and students in grades 11 & 12 are to report to the commons. Period 4-7 all students are to report to the LMC.

Congrats to all students in Mrs. Ott’s 6th hour English class for being the PBIS Class of the Week!

 

This class was nominated because they have shown improvement in the area of responsibility, specifically students coming to class prepared. They do so by using the restroom, locker, office, etc. prior to class and arriving prepared and ready to learn.  Overall, the students in this class are respectful to their peers and teacher, are kind and helpful, and contribute to the classroom running smoothly. MHS Student Council would like to thank all students and faculty who participated in the Food Drive earlier this month.  With your help, we were able to donate over 2,500 items totaling 1531 pounds to the local charities of St. Vincent De Paul and Soup or Socks.  The final homeroom results for the Food Drive are as follows.  In third place, with a score of 6.7 items donated per student, is the team of Lobner and Lavongsa.  In second place, with a score of 14.4 items donated per student, is the team of Peters and Stockheimer.  And finally, in first place, with a score of 16.5 items donated per student, is the combined orchestra team.  The first-place team will receive a food reward, and a consolation prize will be considered for the two runners-up.  Once again, thank you to all of the MHS students and faculty for their donations to our local food pantries.

Students are reminded to return any overdue library books before Thanksgiving break. Please also return any English class novels from first quarter that are no longer needed.
