New Announcements:

Mr. McDonald and Mrs. Goettl’s classes are cancelled for today. Ms. Goettl's students with food drive items should bring them to Mr. Treankler in Room 71. Vanessa Smith and Lukas Post should see Mr. Treankler to finish the tally sheet.

 

The following students should see Mrs. Guldan in the counseling office:  Ben Sachs, Brandon Bell, Caden Dennee, Lydia Granquist and Weston Schlafke.

It doesn’t take much effort to do something kind for others.  Marshfield Clinic and Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth- Youth Initiatives remind you to Pour it Forward.  We hope you enjoyed the warm drinks and Dunkin Donuts as our reminder to be kind to one another.

 

Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth- Youth Initiatives is a group of student representatives from Marshfield High School and Columbus Catholic High School working to prevent substance abuse and bullying.  If you are interested in becoming a part of Youth Initiatives, fill out a Youth Initiatives application located on the school website.

 

There is a meeting for Spanish Honor Society Officers TODAY (yes, Friday) :) after school in room 63.

 

All FCCLA members are asked to come to the Foods lab Tuesday morning before school to prepare dressing for the Community Thanksgiving Dinner.  We will start at 7am.

 

Code Club meets next week Monday & Tuesday after school.  Join us for as long as you like one night, or both.  See you in Mr. Treankler's room 71 after school Monday and Tuesday.

Girls, have you ever considering trying curling? NO, NOT your hair! The Sport. Stop by the curling building located at the Fairgrounds at 3:30, Monday – Thursday to see if this is something you’d like to do this winter! See Mrs. Schreiner in the office if you have more questions.

 

There will be a HOSA meeting at 7:30 am on Tuesday, Nov. 22nd in Room 45. Please bring your phones with you. We will be discussing T-shirts, competitive events, and the winter fundraiser.

 

There will be a rep from the University of Wisconsin - Oshkosh in the Counseling Office on Friday at 1:30.

 

Attention FFA Members. Our fruit sale is coming to an end! Please get a tally sheet from Mr. Heeg or Mr. Zee to complete your orders. The tally sheet needs to be filled out and turned in with all of your white sheets on Monday November 21st.

 

Science Olympiad will meet on Sunday from 5-7

 

Attention: Juniors and Seniors that missed the banquet on Sunday, please come pick up your letters from Coach Goettle in room 51.

 

Attention Hunters:  Just a reminder that school absences due to hunting receive no special consideration.  Any days you miss are included in the 10 days you are allowed to miss without a doctor’s excuse.  Seniors should remember that missing over 20 days could jeopardize their participation in the graduation ceremony.  It is up to each of you to monitor the number of days you have missed using Skyward Student Access. 

 

Any FCCLA member who would like to order a t-shirt this year should see Mrs. MacArthur by the end of the week.

 

Knitting Club will meet this Friday after school in Ms. Gutting's Room 21

 

This week, November 14th – 18th, MHS will be holding a food drive. The homeroom that collects the most items will receive a $100 prize to be spent however the teacher and students would like. The donation days are as follows: Monday is pasta and peanut butter, Tuesday is canned fruits and vegetables, Wednesday is personal hygiene products, Thursday is boxed foods, and Friday is canned meats. Students will be awarded 2 tickets for items brought in on the appropriate day and 1 ticket for items donated on alternative days. Students can then write their name on the tickets and they will be put into a drawing for individual prizes at the end of the week. Our goal is a school is 2,500 items and there will be a progress board displayed in the commons for students and staff to see how close we are to that gold. Remember MHS, hunger knows no season!
