Mrs. Reigel's classes are cancelled today. Periods 1-3 & 8-9 students in grades 9& 10 should report to the LMC and students in grades 11 & 12 are to report to the commons.

If you participated in yesterday’s Veteran’s Day Thank You, you made it a great day for 48 veterans of our nations armed services. Great job Tigers, those veterans left MHS with warm hearts and big smiles.

 

Just a reminder that the MHS Food Drive is taking place through Friday this week.  Please turn your donated items into the box in your second hour homeroom.  The winning homeroom team will win a food reward.  After Day One, the homeroom team of Bowman and Bauer is in the lead with .188 cans per student.  In second is the team of Michalec and Hitchcock with .174 cans per student, and finally in third is the team of Lober and Lavongsa, with .143 cans per student.  Teachers, at this time, please take a tally of donated items and insert it into the Tuesday column of the shared Food Drive Data Sheet.  In addition, all Student Council members should collect the items from their assigned homeroom and bring them down to the commons by the end of the day.

 

There has been a ring and necklace turned into the office if you are missing these items please come describe and claim.

 

The construction will be continuing on the Bio Filter in the new parking lot, there will be barrels up in the parking lot to block the sections they need to work in. PLEASE DO NOT PARK IN THESE AREAS. Thank you.

Attention students: The French Honor Society is celebrating National French Week this week. Keep a look out for French Week QR codes around the school and answer the day’s French Trivia Question for the chance to win a prize each day this week!

 

Do you want to expand your consciousness, cultivate inner peace, and spread love and joy? If so, then join the Mindfulness Club meeting Wednesday this week after school in the auditorium from 3:00- 4:00. Come to learn about mindfulness and how it can help! Hope all is well in your world! Peace!

 

NHS Officer meeting has been moved to Tuesday after school at 3:05 in the Library.

 

Do you like to knit or crochet? Or do you want to learn how? Knitting club is meeting tomorrow, November 14 before school in room 135 – the Pathway Partners office! All are welcome! Bring your project & see you there!

 

 

Previously Read Announcements:

The Marshfield High School food Drive has begun!  It is going on all this week through Friday.   Students are asked to bring canned goods, boxed goods, hygiene items, and other non-perishable food items to their 2nd Hour Homeroom.  Please do not donate any glass or expired items. Just a reminder that homerooms will be competing in teams of 2 or 3, and that the winning homeroom will receive a food reward.  All proceeds for the Food Drive will be donated to local charities. 

 

MHS Teachers; please remember to enter the number of food items donated by your students for the Food Drive into the data sheet during 2nd Hour announcements. 

 

The next FCCLA meeting will be after school on Wednesday, November 14 in the Foods Lab. All members are asked to bring a bag of dry stuffing cubes for the Community Thanksgiving Dinner

 

 

The Gay-Straight Alliance will meet Tuesday after school in room 10/11 to discuss the winter bake sale. Anyone is welcome to attend.

 

Morgan Anderson from Mid-State will be at Marshfield High School Wednesday, November 14 from 10:30am-1:30pm in the Guidance Office. Stop by to complete your application and the app fee will be waived for all Summer and Fall 2019 applications – this includes current seniors looking to begin a program AND sophomores or juniors interested in Start College Now. Students should bring their iPad with them.
