Youth Service Learning members are reminded to turn all summer hours in to the basket in Room 70 by Monday, September 17th. Confirmation slips are available before school through 4th hour in Room 70. See Miss Goettl if you have any questions.

 

There will be a meeting of Spanish Honor Society this Friday at 7:25 a.m. in room 63. We will be voting for officers and making plans for activities

Previously Read Announcements:

There is a newly formed student group at Marshfield High School called the Marshfield and Columbus Leadership Alliance, also known as MCLA. The goal of this group is to implement activities that focus on substance use prevention, anti-bullying efforts, and mental health awareness. If you are interested in working to make your school and community a better place, consider joining this student group. Please see Mrs. Carlson in the counseling office if you would like more information about joining MCLA.

 

Auditions for the Fall Play, Peter and the Starcatcher, will be Thursday, September 13 in the auditorium from 3:45-7:00. Be sure to bring completed materials to the audition. Audition will only take 15 minutes, but arrive early or at a time that works within the audition time frame. See Mrs. Leurquin (Lurk-win) in Room 1 if you have any questions!

 

Any senior interested in being on homecoming court, please sign up in Room 78, the deadline to sign up is Thursday, 9/13.

 

ATTENTION JUNIORS!  One of the best ways to prepare for the required ACT test, coming up in February, is to take the official PreACT on October 30. This assessment simulates the format and timing of the ACT Plus Writing and will provide you with a detailed report on how you can prepare the February test. Sign up for the PreACT is in the MAIN office with Ms. Bishop at this time. The fee is $13. Contact your counselor, Mr. Roeglin, or Ms. Bishop if you have questions.

 

Yearbook Club Meeting - Friday, September 14th at 7:00 am - in the Commons! Anyone interested in helping create this year’s yearbook should attend! Everyone welcome!

 

 

Attention students wanting Driver's Education second semester: Please sign up for a seat in the counseling office by Friday, September 14th. The available seats will be filled by birth date, with the oldest students getting the seats first.

 

Anyone interested in going out for basketball for the 2018-2019 school year, there will be a quick meeting in room 75 (Coach Varsho's Room) on Friday September 14th, at 7:30.

Youth Net does not start until Monday, September 17th.

SkillsUSA will have their first meeting of the year this Thursday, Sept. 13th, after school in room 82 from 3-4pm. Please come to learn how you can compete in architecture, automotive, computers, construction, design, photography, welding and many other areas of interest. See Mr. Henderson if you have any questions or cannot attend.

 

The Gay-Straight Alliance will have their first meeting of the year this Thursday, September 13th,  after school in room 10/11. We will talk about upcoming activities for the fall. All students are welcome to join the GSA.

 

Anyone interested in joining HOSA this year? Please attend an informational meeting in Ms. Marshall's room (rom 45) Thursday morning at 7:45! It'll be very short and sweet. Let Ms. Marshall know if you have any questions.

 

Anyone interested in FCCLA is invited to the first meeting of the year. It will be in the Foods lab after school on

Wednesday and snacks will be provided. If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. MacArthur

 

Attention anyone interested in French Club. We will be holding out first meeting of the year this Wednesday, after school, in room 47 (Mr. Meyer's room). We will be electing officers and discussing events for the upcoming year. If you would like to run for an officer position but cannot attend this meeting, please see Mr. Meyer before the end of school on Wednesday
