New Announcements:

Code Club homecoming work night after school Friday in room 71.

 

News Channel 9 will be featuring MHS in their Sports Express Segment in tomorrow mornings news. All sports, clubs and organizations are welcome. Plan to be to the fieldhouse at 5:30 AM dressed in your best tiger apparel, the segment will go live at 5:45 AM.

 

Powder Buff registrations are due today. Please get your registration and fee to Mrs. Sadowska in room 5 by the end of the day. Powder Buff volleyball will start at 5:00 on Sunday. Entry fee is $3.

 

Students interested in joining FFA this year should turn in their $15 dues to Mr. Zee or Mr. Heeg in their classrooms and pick up your t-shirt.  Also, FFA members and those interested in joining are encouraged to come to our first FFA meeting of the year, which will be Monday night from 5-8 pm at school forest.  A hay ride, pumpkin painting, outdoor games, and a chili feed will be the activities for the night along with a short meeting updating everyone on upcoming activities.  See you there!!  

 

Attention FFA members:  Signup sheets and permission slips are in room 80 for the World Dairy Expo trip on October 2nd and for the FIRE Leadership Conference on October 13th.  Deadline for turning in permission slips and money for those trips is Wednesday, September 26th.

Attention PowderPuff Players! Make sure you get a concussion form from your class advisor and get the form turned back in by FRIDAY! If there is not one on file, you will not play.

Sophomore (Class of 2021): Mrs. Dargenio - room 13
Juniors (Class of 2020): Mr. Glodowski - room 22
Seniors (Class of 2019): Mrs. Kumm - room 64

 

Any FCCLA member who is interested in creating or riding in a Homecoming float should see Mrs. MacArthur by Friday. If you have not returned your membership form, please turn that in by Friday as well

 

Powder Buff volleyball registration forms can be picked up from Mrs. Sadowska in room 5. Registration is open to the first 8 teams to return a registration form to Mrs. Sadowska. All teams must be registered by Thursday, September 20, at 3:30. The Powder Buff tournament will take place on Sunday, September 23 at 5:00 p.m.

 

The Special education students are making protein shakes for their restaurant, The Shake Shack. The flavor of the week is Mint Chocolate Chip. We will be down in the commons from 10:30-12:00 on Friday September 21^st. A $5.00 donation would be appreciated per shake. Proceeds benefit the students! Hope to see you there! Bring your friends!

 

Attention MCLA members: If you plan to attend the field trip on October 5th, you need to return your permission slip to Mrs. Carlson by Friday this week.

 

 

ATTENTION JUNIORS!  One of the best ways to prepare for the required ACT test, coming up in February, is to take the official PreACT on October 30. This assessment simulates the format and timing of the ACT Plus Writing and will provide you with a detailed report on how you can prepare the February test. Sign up for the PreACT is in the MAIN office with Ms. Bishop at this time. The fee is $13. Contact your counselor, Mr. Roeglin, or Ms. Bishop if you have questions.

 

Spanish Club Members: We WILL be in the Homecoming Parade this year! Come decorate our banner next Tuesday after school in room 46.
