There will be a sophomore class meeting in Room 13 Wednesday after school.

 

Would the following students see Mrs. Guldan before leaving today:  Brandon Berg, Derrick Brost, Hugh Steiner, Emma Gilkerson, Samantha Peskie, Jacob Dick and Tanner Kanable.

 

Interested in joining HOSA? We will have our first meeting this Thursday morning at 7:30 in Ms. Marshall's room - room 45. Please contact Ms. Marshall if you are interested and unable to attend.

 

Fall play students scheduled for rehearsal tonight: please report immediately afterschool to the auditorium. Rehersal will only run till 5:00 tonight. This includes MaKenna Yeske, Morgan Listle, Tyler Nanstad, Emma Michalek, Emma Dorshost, Alex Weuthrich, Eli Splude, Michael Maggitti, Tanner Keuhmicheal, Anna Weis, Brandon Koran, Zach Iniguez, Jasmine Fredrick, Elise Ashby, Sam Peterson, Abigail Hartwig, and Alexis Sonnemann.

 

Ira Mitroshin and Brooke Rollins please stop in to see Mrs. Sternweis in the Pathway Partners office before leaving school today.

This year’s Homecoming Charity Project will be “Homecoming Hurricane Relief”, which will feature a class fundraising competition, with all funds donated to the Red Cross to assist the victims of storm damage in Texas, Florida and the Caribbean.  The juniors took a huge lead yesterday, with 3 students taking the initiative to donate over $120. Donation containers will be in the commons during all lunch hours. Thousands of lives have been devastated by these storms, and this is the chance for us to show some Tiger Spirit by helping them out.

 

Tryouts for the Homecoming Pepfest Pushup team will continue today during Phy. Ed. Classes and lunch hours.  Each team will need 2 girls, 2 boys, and a faculty member. Crank out some pushups and help out your class dominate the Pepfest competition.

 

Please vote for Corianne Johnson for Athlete of the Month on MarshfieldAreaSports.com.  Voting is open until Saturday, October 7. 

 

The month of October is LGBT history month. The Marshfield Gay-Straight Alliance would like to bring awareness by holding a trivia contest each Tuesday with three winners receiving a prize. All guesses should be written on a slip of paper and put into the cauldron on Mrs. Burkhart’s desk in the counseling office. Please include your name so you can receive a prize. When was the first state to outlaw discrimination based on sexual orientation?

 

The Gay-Straight Alliance will meet this Thursday, October 4th after school in room 10/11

 

All students need to log into their skyward student portal to sign up for Homecoming Friday activities.  Sign up will be open from today until this Friday (10/6) at noon.  Some activities have caps so all sign up will be first come first serve.  Student who do not sign up will be assigned to an activity.  You will receive an email notification of your selections to confirm your placement.  Please record the activity you have selected so you know where to go on Friday morning during homecoming week.

 

 

Key Club will be meeting in Room 43 at 7:30am Wed. There will be donuts & all students are welcome to attend! We will be making Thank -You cards for policemen. Thanks!

 

Code Club meets after school Tuesday in room 71

 

Members of the homecoming court are asked to attend a mandatory meeting Thursday at 7:30 am in Room 78.  If you are unable to attend, please contact Mrs. Leonhardt, prior to the meeting.

Attention students: Picture Retake day has been rescheduled to Tuesday, October 24th.

 

Any seniors interested in being MC for the Homecoming Pep Assembly in the fieldhouse should attend the senior class meeting Wednesday morning in Room 36.  Be prepared to share your MC ideas.  All students present will vote on who should be the MC. 

 

Yearbook Club will be meeting this Tuesday, October 3rd afterschool in Mrs. Budimlija's room 28. We will be learning how to use the yearbook website, choosing our cover and starting our pages. If you can't make it, no worries! Just look for an email!

 

“You have to learn the rules like a pro, so you can break them like an artist.” Join MHS Art Club! First meeting is going to be Thursday, October 5th at 7:00 am in Mrs. Drach’s room (39). We will be discussing t-shirts, events, and assign directors. Hope to see ya there!

 

Attention freshmen!  It's time to finalize our homecoming float plans.  We'll meet in room 10/11 at 7:30am on Wednesday, October 4th.  See Ms. Mahoney if you have ideas but can't make it.

 

Junior and Senior Boys!  It has been decided that Powderbuff Volleyball will go on during Homecoming week.  Teams up to 8 junior or senior guys can sign up on Mrs. LeMoine's door, Room 36.  Charge per team is $40.  Games will be played Thursday night during Homecoming week, this is a single elimination tournament!

 

Students planning to bring a non-MHS guest to the Homecoming dance should be sure to have the Dance Guest Permission Form filled out and signed by both schools by October 11th. Forms can be picked up in the main office.

 

FCCLA will be having their first meeting of the year on Wednesday morning, October 4th.  Come join us in the foods lab for some sweet treats and to learn more about FCCLA!  See Mrs. MacArthur if you are interested but cannot attend. PLEASE NOTE THE TIME CHANGE.

 

This message is for current sophomores and juniors. Are you interested in studying abroad this summer? Would you like a scholarship that helps with the cost? Come to an informational meeting about a study abroad opportunity held Tuesday, October 3rd after school in room 10/11.
