FRIDAY AM ANNOUNCEMENTS – MAY 24, 2019

New Announcements:

FLANAL has been cancelled for TODAY, 05/24/19, due to issues with the facility.

 

Classes are cancelled today for Mr. Will, Mr. Bergelin, Mr. Gerszewski and Mr. Bauer. Period 1-3 & 8-9 students in grades 9 & 10 should report to the LMC and students in grades 11 & 12 are to report to the commons. Period 4-7 all students are to report to the LMC.

 

KEY CLUB will meet today, Friday May 24th at 3:10 pm in Room 45. Agenda items include Officer elections, Key Leader and summer Picnic Wed. 7/17/2019! WE will also be collecting books for the book drive!! Last meeting of the year!

 

Bradley Hendrickson and Gage Plechaty return Chromebooks to LMC.

 

Any girls planning on going out for volleyball in the fall should attend a brief pre-season meeting on Thursday, May 30, at 7:30 am in room 5.

 

The Gay-Straight Alliance will have its last meeting of the year Tuesday after school in room 10-11. Anyone is welcome to attend.

 

Seniors who are expecting a gold or blue cord to wear at the graduation ceremony should stop in Room 36 to see Mrs. LeMoine. This means you are a member of NHS with good standing, and/or had a 3.8 or higher GPA.

 

Freshmen, Sophomores and Juniors - please check your school email for the link to the activity sign-up sheet for the last day of school on June 10th. You must be signed up for activities by the end of the day on Tuesday, May 28th.

 

The Boys' Track and Field team advanced 3 athletes in 5 events to the WIAA State Track and Field Meet next week Friday.  Advancing to state are:

Caden Pearce

100m Dash 3rd place (tied school record)

200m Dash 1st place

400m Dash 1st place

 

Addison Hill

800m Run 3rd place

 

Joey Goettl

Triple Jump 1st place

 

Previously Read Announcements:

Musical students are invited to sign the wall after school on Friday, May 24th and Wednesday, May 29th. You must have fulfilled strike hours in order to sign the wall.

 

Attention Juniors and Sophomores!!!   1st quarter open campus privilege for next year is determined on your performance of 4th quarter of this year.  So, check your skyward.  Clear up any unexcused absences and make sure you end the year with all passing grades.  Any questions please ask Mr. Roeglin or Mrs. Guden.

 

Are you an aspiring journalist, tv or radio personality, videographer, cinematographer, or t-shirt cannon operator? Perhaps you've thought about pursuing a career connected to game day productions at the collegiate or pro sports level but don't know where to start? Our new stadium features the same state-of-the-art Technology that fans experience at Lambeau Field, The Kohl Center, and the Milwaukee Bucks' Fiserv Forum. Stop by Mr. Treankler's room 71 this week to reserve your spot on the Tiger Game Day Production Team!

 

As emailed previously iPad Collection will occur for seniors on May 24th and May 28th in the commons during lunch periods. Select the day that works best for you. Obligations will be entered for any devices and charging accessories not returned by the end of lunch periods on the May 28th. Any damage to the iPad needs to be

reported by no later than 3 PM on May 22nd to Mrs. Lewer in the LMC. Any damage not reported by this date will be the responsibility of guardian’s/students and will not be covered under the district damage deductible.

 

Attention past, present, and future science bowl participants.  There will be an end of the year gathering this Thursday in room 6, starting at 3:20.  We will share resources, strategize, and celebrate.  Refreshments will be served.  If you have any interest in learning about how you can become part of one of the future academic science bowl teams, please attend. 

 

Seniors are reminded to return library books and pay library fines. All library books are due Friday for Seniors. Final notices will go out this week. Please also return all English class novels that are not currently in use. Replacement fees will be charged for any book room book that is not returned.

 

Seniors who wish to keep their Career Cruising account after graduation should check their senior class in Canvas for additional information.  You will need to convert your email from your USDOM email to your personal email prior to graduation.

 

Spanish Club Members: Please see Ms. Giordana by the end of the week to let her know if you can come to Spanish Club next week Wednesday. We are reading bilingual books to kids at Madison school and eating some food!
