Attention NHS members: Looking for an exciting way to earn volunteer hours? Solo & Ensemble is on Saturday, March 3rd, with A.M., P.M., or all day shifts and a variety of duties still available. Please contact Mrs. Nagel in the music department to sign up. Thank you!

 

The academic science bowl team brought home the Lake Sturgeon Bowl Regional title this past Saturday.  This competition was held at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and the team will now travel to Boulder, Colorado in late April to compete for the National Ocean Sciences Bowl crown. The team members are Muhammad Abidi, Suhaas Bhat, Carter Chojnacki, David Gui, and Nikita Gonugunta.  Congratulations everyone, and good luck at nationals!

 

Attention Forensics students: We will depart for our festival today at 2:45. Please meet outside room 3 at that time. Will the following students report to Mrs. Lavongsa during this time: Blake Zimmeran and Riya Bolander

 

Congratulations goes out to all FBLA members who competed at Regionals this weekend.  The following students placed in the top 3 of their events and will be competing at State in April:  Aman Bassi, Michael Reeser, Jenna Reigel, Brooke Rollins, Vanessa Schmit, and Kendra Tremelling.

 

The Marshfield NASP team had their first tournament in Gilman on Saturday.  Top archers for Marshfield were Tylor Rocha, Rhiannon Manlick, Eli Junco, Lindsey Tyrolt and Jeremiah Apsey.  Tylor took 9th place for boys and Rhiannon took 14th for girls.  Congratulations archers!

 

Have you ever wondered how the magic of the theater comes to be? Would you like to be one of the magicians? Come to the stage crew meeting February 6th (Tuesday) after school in the auditorium. Everyone is welcome.

 

Starting today, Monday, February 5th, we will be collecting money for Pennies for Patients, a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Student council members will be walking around with boxes and there will be pails on the stage, each assigned to a specific teacher. The top five out of sixteen teachers will be “pied” in the face. Let’s raise some money and pie some teachers!

 

Marshfield boy’s hockey player Ryan Krueger has been nominated for the WDLB-WOSQ Radio & MarshfieldAreaSports.com January High School Athlete of the Month award. Voting begins at midnight Wednesday night and will run through midnight Feb. 7 at MarshfieldAreaSports.com. Voting is limited to one vote per IP address, per 24-hour period. This may mean mass voting at school, a business or home may not be possible if those places use the same server for the entire building.
