New Announcements:

Attention 2017 Cheer & Stunt Team: We are holding a mandatory preseason meeting for parents and athletes on Wed. May 24th at 6PM in room 45. Please see Mrs. LeMoine or Mrs. Schreiner with questions.

 

There will be a NHS meeting tomorrow after school in the Lecture Hall. Juniors-hours are due by next Friday, May 26th. Seniors-hours are due this Friday, May 19th. Don’t forget to bring a can!

 

 

Previously Read Announcements:  

Starting on Monday, May 22nd, MHS is offering sophomores the chance to receive TOPs (Tiger Open-campus privileges) during their lunch hour if they qualify and with parent permission.  If eligible, you will be notified during your homeroom.  Parent signed permission forms need to be returned to Mrs. Guden in the Commons.

 

Key Club will meet tomorrow, Wed at 7:40 am in Room 45.

 

The Gay-Straight will have its final meeting Wednesday after school in room 1. There will be pizza and games and general merriment. Anyone is welcome to attend. Please note the room change!

 

Students as we near the end of the school year, remember it is time to clean out those lockers! There will be garbage and recycle bins in the hallways to help with the clean out.

 

Don’t forget it is Fine Arts Week. There will be performances throughout the day in the Commons/Auditorium today, Wednesday and Thursday. Be sure to check it out.

 

Seniors going to Six Flags Great America this Saturday need to report to fieldhouse by cirlce drive at 2 pm.  Watch the weather and dress appropriately.  Bring cash for our dinner stop on the way to the park.

 

Looking for a nice cool treat? You're in luck. Icee's will be for sale, Friday after school in the commons for only 50 cents each!

 

There will be a freshmen class meeting at 7:30am, in room 10/11 on Wednesday, May 17th.

 

Drama students are reminded to purchase a ticket for the Drama Banquet by May 19th in Room  1 from Mrs. Leurquin. Tickets are 5 dollars. The Banquet is May 23rd at the Eagles Club.

 

Interested in showing off your theatrical skills? Want to write a scene and see it performed on stage? Then the Drama Rama is the event for you! Taking place on May 16th, the event starts at 3:30 in the auditorium for an evening of laughter and talent in celebration of Fine Arts Week! Compete in this acting competition amongst fellow thespians and show your skills.  Feel free to contact Mrs. Leurquin or Maisie Cramer if you have any questions.

 

The FFA plant sale is now going on in the greenhouse attached to room 80.  The plants were grown by the Horticulture class, with all proceeds going to the Marshfield FFA.  It's a great place to buy a Mother's Day present!  Stop by before or after school, or see Mr. Heeg for details.

 

Attention Seniors - You are reminded that your student fees and obligations must be taken care of or your diploma will not be in the case you receive at graduation.  Be sure to check Skyward to see if you have any fees due.  You will receive a final notice of remaining obligations at graduation rehearsal and they must be taken care of by noon on Friday, May 26th.

 

Seniors - Have you changed your mind regarding participation in the graduation ceremony from what you submitted on your diploma order form?  If so, please see Janet in the office by the end of the day on Friday, May 19th.

 

Attention all prospective Football Players for the 2017 season there will be a informational meeting on May 17th after school in Room 10-11 at 3:05 until 3:35.  Information for the summer and all activities that go along with our team to be.  Be there if you are interested.

 

This is National Drug Prevention Week.  National Prevention Week is an annual health observance dedicated to increasing public awareness of, and action around, mental and/or substance use disorders.  Please show your support by wearing read on Wednesday, May 17th. 

 

Marshfield High School participates in a number of jeopardy-style academic science bowl competitions each year and we generally have several teams competing. Over the years, our successes in these competitions have taken us to Alaska, California, Florida, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Panama.  If you are interested to learn more about these competitions and how you may become a participant, please attend an informational meeting this Tuesday after school in room 6.  If you are unable to attend let Mr. Herder or Mr. McFarlane know that you are interested.
