Congratulations to Samantha  Bell, Olivia Page, Benjamin Le Page, Lilly Ackerman , Krupa Patel , Macy Perrine, Kati Sadowska and Maggie Stangl who competed at the AATF French State Speaking Competition (Concours Oral)at Arrowhead High School in Hartland , Wisconsin on Saturday, May 13. All 8 earned Gold Medals. They performed in the categories of Theater and Poetry. A total of 9 A+ scores were earned and 3 A scores. Kati Sadowska and Maggie Stangl received perfect scores.

 

Marshfield High School participates in a number of jeopardy-style academic science bowl competitions each year and we generally have several teams competing. Over the years, our successes in these competitions have taken us to Alaska, California, Florida, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, and Panama.  If you are interested to learn more about these competitions and how you may become a participant, please attend an informational meeting this Tuesday after school in room 6.  If you are unable to attend let Mr. Herder or Mr. McFarlane know that you are interested.

 

Attention Seniors - You are reminded that your student fees and obligations must be taken care of or your diploma will not be in the case you receive at graduation.  Be sure to check Skyward to see if you have any fees due.  You will receive a final notice of remaining obligations at graduation rehearsal and they must be taken care of by noon on Friday, May 26th.

 

Seniors - Have you changed your mind regarding participation in the graduation ceremony from what you submitted on your diploma order form?  If so, please see Janet in the office by the end of the day on Friday, May 19th.

 

Physicsbowl results are in.  Suhaas Bhat scored 7th overall in the worldwide Physicsbowl competition."

 

The Gay-Straight will have its final meeting Wednesday after school in room 10/11. There will be pizza and games and general merriment. Anyone is welcome to attend.

 

There will be a volleyball open gym tonight beginning at 6:30. 

 

This is National Drug Prevention Week.  National Prevention Week is an annual health observance dedicated to increasing public awareness of, and action around, mental and/or substance use disorders.  Please show your support by wearing read on Wednesday, May 17th.

Attention all prospective Football Players for the 2017 season there will be a informational meeting on May 17th after school in Room 10-11 at 3:05 until 3:35.  Information for the summer and all activities that go along with our team to be.  Be there if you are interested. Coach Goettl & Staff

 

The FFA plant sale is now going on in the greenhouse attached to room 80.  The plants were grown by the Horticulture class, with all proceeds going to the Marshfield FFA.  It's a great place to buy a Mother's Day present!  Stop by before or after school, or see Mr. Heeg for details.

 

Interested in showing off your theatrical skills? Want to write a scene and see it performed on stage? Then the Drama Rama is the event for you! Taking place on May 16th, the event starts at 3:30 in the auditorium for an evening of laughter and talent in celebration of Fine Arts Week! Compete in this acting competition amongst fellow thespians and show your skills.  Feel free to contact Mrs. Leurquin or Maisie Cramer if you have any questions.
