THURSDAY AM ANNOUNCEMENTS – NOVEMBER 14,2019

Classes are cancelled today for Mr. Bowman - students are asked to check Canvas for assignments. Students in grades 9 & 10 should report to the LMC and students in grades 11 & 12 are to report to the LMC for periods 4-7 and to the Commons periods 1-3 & 8-9.

Any senior planning on attending UWSP next year with an intended major in chemistry, Mr. Knecht has application information available for the $8000 Tryton Scholarship. Please stop by his room, room 9, if interested.

 

There will be a Key Club meeting after school this Friday, November 15. Key Club is an international club that focuses on volunteering and leadership. This Friday we will be writing thank you cards to police officers, firefighters, and veterans in Room 45. Please come help write thank you notes to show your support. 

 

The play 'Radium Girls', a history drama about the radium-dial painters of the 1920s and their fight for justice against the company who claims no wrongdoing for the girls' mysterious medical ailments as a result of exposure to radium, will be performed at MHS on Friday and Saturday night at 7:30 PM. Doors open at 7:00, and all seats are reserved. Tickets are available in the main office, online at showtix4u.com, or at the door the day of the show. Tickets cost $8.00 for students, and $9.00 adults.

 

There will be a rep from University of Minnesota Duluth Campus in the counseling office today at 1:00PM.

 

FFA members are reminded that Fruit Sales sheets need to be turned in by Monday.  Also, the November FFA meeting will be held at Rose Bowl Lanes on Monday night, November 18th from 6-8 pm.  $5 cost will cover bowling, pizza and pop.  Also members interested in attending the Parliamentary Procedure Workshop at the high school on Tuesday after school should sign up with Mr. Heeg.  

 

Marshfield High School students and staff the Food Drive will be occurring all next week please bring in your food items to second hour. This year we will have special days where if you bring in certain items during those days you get two points for your class. Ramen will get your class zero points this year. Monday is snack foods having one bag chips does not count, Tuesday is Nonperishable condiments, Wednesday is Baking items, Thursday will be Boxed meals, and Friday is everything donated is worth two points. The top three classes will get food in their second hour class.

 

Backpacks are in for student athletes who sold 7 or more Tiger Cards. Please stop in the Main Office to collect yours.

 

Seniors are reminded that Jostens will be here during the lunch periods on Friday, November 15th to take your cap, gown & announcement orders. This is the only day they will be here.

 

Seniors! You can pick up an order form for Senior Apparel outside Room 36. All forms and payment are due by next Friday, November 22.

 

ATTN SENIORS: Please remember your senior photos are due for yearbook by December 1st. You can send them to yearbook@marshfieldschools.org. Please see Ms. Bishop in the main office if you have any questions.
