Additional slots for juniors have opened up for tomorrow morning’s PreACT test.  Please report to the office right time if you would like to be added. Juniors taking the test tomorrow should bring a calculator and 2 number 2 pencils to their test site.  To find out where you are testing, check the rosters posted outside of the counseling office.  Teachers have also been emailed the rosters. Students testing at East gate should report there no later than 7:50 and must park in the lot behind the church, not out on the street.  EastGate can be cool, so bring a sweater or light jacket.  Students will be excused periods 1-4 for the test.  If you are testing in the Lecture Hall or Room 53, report there immediately at the start of the day. Students who eat period 4 lunch should eat lunch period 5 and attend their period 6A class, starting at 11:47. All other testers should attend their normal period 5B class or 5 lunch.  Failure to report back to school at the designated time will result in the suspension of TOP privileges.

 

The ASVAB, or military entrance exam will be given at MHS this Friday, December 9th at 8am in the lecture hall. All juniors and seniors thinking about entering any branch of the military are invited to take this no cost test. By taking the test, you are not obligated to join. See Mrs. Burkhart or speak to your counselor in the counseling office to sign up or for more information

 

FBLA members need to confirm their competitive events with Miss Goettl before school through 4th hour tomorrow in Room 70.

 

FBLA members should pick up clothing order forms from Miss Goettl before school through 4th hour in Room 70.  Forms and money should be returned by Friday.

 

FBLA members are reminded to bring their gifts to Room 70 before school through 4th hour Wednesday.

 

 

Previously Read Announcements

On Wednesday, December 7th, wear RED  for YOLO ("You only live once)" Be Drug Free day.

 

Attention FCCLA members:  There will be an FCCLA meeting before school on Wednesday, December 7th.  If you cannot attend, please see Mrs. MacArthur to sign up for STAR Events and pick up a cookie order form.

 

Congratulations to this week’s Top Tigers, Evan Ellis and Erin Mews! Ering and Evan were nominated by our Music Department.

 

There will be no Tuesday a.m. announcements (tomorrow) due to testing.  Please get them of off your email and read them in your classroom.

 

Girls interested in softball - come to room 38 for information about this years Winter Softball Clinic at MHS, which features pitching coach and former Chicago Bandit, Missy Beseres.

 

There will be a HOSA meeting in Room 45 at 7:30 AM on Tuesday, Dec. 6th. Please bring your winter fundraiser forms and money.

 

HOSA is having a winter fundraiser and selling reindeer pots filled with goodies, hot chocolate snowmen, and candy cane sleighs. If you are interested in buying some you can order them in the commons during lunch or stop by room 45 where there is an order form available for you.
